How close together can I run 2 marathons?

We recommend a minimum of 3 months in between marathons.  That gives you enough time to:
  • rest and fully recover from the first marathon
  • then build your mileage up and taper for the second marathon
If you have your heart set on 2 particular races and the window of time is smaller, we can make some adjustments.  But it is tough to turn the training around that quickly.
