I have a couple of approx 20km adventure races (Spartan Beast and a local equivalent) during the build-up to a goal half marathon. I've entered these as non goal races to benefit from the tapers, etc, which is a great feature. However, how would you recommend I record the times for these events? Clearly the min/km average will be significantly slower than a road race... will this affect subsequent training paces?

Great question! As you mentioned, the paces are automatically set to your last race result. That being said, you can edit the pace chart to reflect the race that is closest to your current fitness. This way you can record the adventure races as you normally would and your future assignments will not be thrown off. Here’s how to change the pace chart:
