My long term goal is a marathon on 10/7, but I am running a half marathon on Sunday 8/12. Because I am off work for the summer, my current preference is to do my long run on Thursday. My schedule for next week has me doing 17-18 on Thursday before the Sunday race. This doesn't sound right to me. That seems like too much before a long run/race on Sunday. I am really just doing the race to give myself an opportunity to run with other people, but I don't want to be completely wiped out.
